Celebration: Kate and Ashkan’s Wedding at Oheka Castle
Event Planning + Design: Karyn Michael Events
Number of Guests: 150
Highlights: Kate and Ash moved from Boston to New York, both diving into demanding new jobs in the lead-up to their wedding day. With their packed schedules, every moment of the planning process had to be maximized—and in no time, every "i" was dotted and every "t" crossed to create a spectacular celebration at Oheka Castle.
Their multi-cultural ceremony, blending Persian and Christian traditions, was a vision of softness and romance. Under a lush arch of white roses and phalaenopsis orchids, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by love and tradition. The ceremony featured a beautifully arranged Persian Sofreh and a heartfelt Farsi blessing read by the Best Man.
Throughout the event, we infused Kate and Ashkan's K + A monogram into the design, creating a stylish and cohesive atmosphere. Friends and family traveled from across the country to celebrate with the couple at their unforgettable destination wedding—a perfect reflection of their journey and love story.
