OHEKA CASTLE WEDDING, FIG + JOE
Celebration: Figen + Joseph's Wedding at Oheka Castle
Event Planning + Design: Karyn Michael Events
Number of Guests: 200
As Seen In: Grace Ormonde Wedding Style + The Travel Channel
Venue: Oheka Castle - Huntington, New York
Highlights: As guests entered the castle a trio of harp, violin and cello invited them up the grand staircase which was arranged in fresh greens, white hydrangea + roses. At the top of the stairs guests were further welcomed by a Veuve Clicquot champagne tower. The Grand Ballroom was designed in a palette of emerald green, gold + ivory, with three long tablescapes lushly appointed with floral and candlelight. Dinner was prepared by Oheka's own Master Chef Christopher Cappello and served with background music by a French quartet, while an oil-painter captured the details on canvas. After dinner guests transitioned to the Terrace Room where the decor was reminiscent of night clubs from a bygone era with lounge seating and cocktails poured from cut crystal decanters. We ended the night with hand rolled cigars + cognac in the castles library.

Dinner Entertainment
A jazz quartet dressed in vintage attire performed for guests during dinner, it was a lovely vibe, reminiscent of the parties that took place in the Oheka Castle nearly a century ago when it first opened.
The Hotel Gifts
Every guest that stayed overnight in one of Oheka’s 32 hotel rooms, received a custom silk hatbox with the couples monogram stamped in gold. The boxes contained gourmet treats and a bottle of wine to enjoy during their stay. The gifts were designed and assembled by elleKME the gift division of Karyn Michael Events.
